This light was made for many years but this version is the earliest from the 1960's and 1970's as evidenced by the large-font "Made in Germany" on the face of the lens just below the Hella Logo. Often installed on 1960-1980's Volkswagens, I have also seen this light used on cars from Mercedes, BMW and Jaguar.
