Despite what you may hear from the sites selling new modern reproduction/replacement speakers, ALL speakers from the late 40's thru present day are 'PERMANENT MAGNET' speakers, which means the magnets WILL NOT lose their strength over time. This is what a PERMANENT MAGNET is. The only way a permanent magnet will lose strength is by heating it up cherry red, or 'degaussing' it with a massive degaussing coil, which is how they give the magnet it's field in the first place.
