Description: New, fully-leaded Mullard OC140/CV7112 NPN transistor tested on BOTH a Peak DCA-75 and GM328A as shown in photos. One thing to note is that OC140 are a bit unusual in that the reverse hFE is similar to the forward hFE, meaning if you reverse the emitter and collector, the part would behave similarly, with usually a slightly lower hFE. When these parts are tested, the lead closest to the red dot (collector) on the transistor is connected either to the red lead of the DCA75 (so RGB = CBE) and for the GM438, the red dot is connected to connection1 so (123 - CBE). On some of the tested parts, the reverse hFE is slightly larger than the forward hFE so on these parts, the pinout will appear to be EBC from the red dot in the test results. This is not an error, just an idiosyncrasy of these parts. Please note that I've included both test results in listing photos since people are generally more familiar with one or the other. The title quotes the hFE from the DCA-75 test since this is generally regarded as a more accurate result due to the higher test current. The part will come packaged with a print of the GM328A results. This is a matter of convenience to better match the packaged parts with orders. When matching devices received in your order with original listings, please bear in mind that this will mean the hFE on the device package will generally be different than the listing title. The photo of the GM328A test will match the printout packaged with the actual part. Please ask if this is unclear. Additional notes: Ge transistors are extremely sensitive to temperature and device was measured after leaving it in tester for a few minutes to temperature equilibrate before measuring. Your results may differ slightly due to differences in ambient temperature. Since these parts are easily damaged by poor handling or soldering technique, they are non returnable. I hate to be strict about this but I've seen some pretty bad work online and I don't want to be in the business of determining who knows how to solder. They will be packaged well and should work as indicated by testing here.
