Binding is tight. The front and back of the cover have some light smudges, probably from being near other dusty manuals. Edges of the pages are still clean and unruffled. Staples are still shiny, indicating it has not spent time in a moist environment. No musty smell. We bought a lot of manuals from a collector in the dry country of eastern Washington.
