E' inoltre presente un'ampia libreria di Preset con suoni di pianoforte, synth e organo subito pronti all'uso di grande utilità per creare le proprie patch personali in modo ancora piÙ rapido. Tutto lo strumento opera in modalità Seamless Transition, cioè senza fastidiose pause o interruzioni nel cambio dei Program consentendo esibizioni sempre fluide e continue. Layer Scene consente il passaggio tra due diverse configurazioni timbriche con il semplice tocco d'un pulsante, mentre la potente sezione effetti completamente rinnovata, unita alle funzioni dei pedali consente un livello superiore di espressività musicale. Nord Stage 4 73 viene fornito con una nuova libreria sonora ancora piÙ ricca di pianoforti a coda, Uprights e Piani elettrici selezionati dall'esclusiva Nord Piano Library implementata con nuove funzionalità come la compressione dinamica e l'Unison mode. Questa sezione consente il Layer tra due suoni come per il Nord Piano 5, ed è quindi possibile creare dei suoni in Stack anche molto complessi sovrapponendo 2 suoni di piano di vario tipo fra loro: Acustico ed elettrico, Upright con digitale, ecc. nella combinazione personale che preferite. La sezione Synth con i suoi tre Layer indipendenti si basa sul versatile Synth Engine di Nord Wave 2, inclusa la sintesi Virtual Analog, Samples, FM e Digital Waves. Una vasta nuova raccolta di campioni della Nord Sample Library offre un'ampia tavolozza sonora di archi, Bass, cori, chitarre e molto altro.
