He performed in important companies accompanied by famous guitarists such as “Niño Ricardo”, “Sabica” and Ramón Montoya, with whom he recorded unforgettable albums. He was a singer of the so-called Flamenco Opera specialized in “cantes por fandangos” and a follower of “Niño de Marchena”. In 1935 he acted along with Estrellita Castro in the film "Rosario la Cortijera." The Spanish Civil War was a determining factor in his departure from Spain, going into exile in the Argentine Republic, where he shared the stage with Angelillo, another artist who settled down in Buenos Aires, gaining great success as a performer of flamenco songs. The Avenida Theater was one of the stages that saw the “Niño de Utrera” shine in the 1940s. He joined the Catalan singer Trini Moren with whom he married and they formed a company, with which they toured much of South America. They left a series of unforgettable recordings such as “El hijo de Nadie”, with which he won a Gold Record in Cuba; "Gypsy"; "Raise your eyes"; "I would change everything to be with you." He died in Viña del Mar, Chile, on October 12, 1964 during rehearsals with the Compañía Romería.
