Description: This book has issues but its old. Possibly a first edition since the copyright year and the preface year are the same: 1899 and July 1899, respectively. Blind stamp on front cover. Front and back covers and spine are heavily soiled. All four corners are bumped and chipped. Head and toe are severely chipped and missing material. There is a significant bump along the edge of the back board. Pages are heavily tanned. Pencil markings, soiling, staining on front pastedown and flyleaf. Front hinge is separated and cloth is showing. There are several places throughout the book where the gutter is separated. Pages 101 to 108 are free of the spine. There is staining to the bottom of the back few pages. Separation at back hinge. Pencil marks and stains on back flyleaf. There are many pages that are UNOPENED; I counted at least twenty.
