Nice Pat 1894 Victorian Cast Iron Plant Stand in Muted Gold Tone w/Marble Plate!

Description: Lovely Victorian Cast Iron Plant (or other) Stand w/Awesome Filigree Leaf Style Trim & Marble (or marble like) Plate, Patent Date Jul 1894Approx: 31" H x 15" Wide, Top is 15"x15" Marble is 9"x9", 14 lbs NOTE: SALE IS FOR THE PLANT STAND & MARBLE PLATE ONLY, NOT THE LAMP or Other Items. Items were used only for photographing to show potential uses. Also, a very observant eBay customer noticed the top & bottom shelfs were slightly out of alignment & that is true (maybe 5-10% or so). So please be aware of this. If you look straight on it is hard to see, but of if you look from the top to bottom you can see it. In any case it looks great, but wanted to note that. Really terrific Victorian plant stand in a dull or muted gold finish paint. Appears to be cast iron & attracts to a magnet. 9"x9" marble or (marble like material) plate on top goes well with the finish. The stand works great for plants of course but is so lovely we liked it with a lamp as well. This will make a statement anywhere it is placed. This has a visible Patent Date of Jul 1894, most likely Jul 3, 1894 as many similar stands have that date, so it was likely made in the late 1890's-1910 or so. It also has a 999 etched on another area on bottom & we have seen this identified with some Bradley & Hubbard stands, but cannot confirm that this a B&H as we did not see their actual stamp mark. In any case, it is a great stand & a little lighter than some at under 14 lbs, somewhat due to thinner marble slab. The top square is roughly 15"x15" as are the wide point on legs & plate opening is 9"x9" as noted. The stand is in very good, but not mint condition of course but is as shown in pictures with just moderate wear to stand & marble. We ship these assembled, but with marble plate wrapped in heavy padding for safer shipping. We priced this a little under some similar ones that have sold to offset some of the shipping, but it should not be too high in the US. Please Read: See our Feedback & Buy with confidence. The process is not difficult, but the timing of such does not allow adequate time for the item to be returned to us and then for us to proceed with a claim (chain of custody questions can arise as well on returned items due to double shipping and handling so it is just easier for Buyers). So again, as noted in listing, we do not offer returns. Sales tax is charged according to your state or country's regulations. Of course, there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through. We do this often. Signature confirmation will be required if your item is above $100 so please plan accordingly. We can make an exception if you do not want a signature confirmation, but keep in mind if an item is delivered & goes missing from your porch, mail box or other prior to you retrieving the item, shippers will not cover it and you would have to assume the risk. Also, FedEx & Others are beginning to require signature on items above $500-$700. Last, we have discounts with FedEx & eBay on shipping which do not always show up in eBay estimates on shipping. We try to refund what we can when there is a notable difference, but we do not know until we actually process the shipping order.
