Description: Here we have a great early whale oil lamp from the mid -19th Century. This lamp features a circular bulbous body, a crude applied handle, and an early polished pontil base. This example measures 5 3/4 from body to end of handle and is in great condition without any chips, cracks, bruises, bubble bursts, etc. Just some wear to the base and some abrasions to the body from years of use.
