Description: For sale is a beautiful Antique 19th Century hand Painted tin toleware teapot with all original hand painted design of floras and fruits in warm orange and yellow. There are some losses to the motif but one side is much better than the other. The lid and handle painted design is in great shape too. The slanted form body is in great antique condition. No dents. No holes. The lid can be opened and closed easily with the original hinge and finale intact. The base of the kettle is in brass instead of tin. It could be the Original design or some sort of early reinforcement (as the tin base is also present from the interior view). The paint had beautifully aged yet still brilliant in color. Very artistic hand painted strokes in the most traditional method and design. Nice patina! Age appropriate surface wears and imperfections are to be expected. See photos from all sides (and zoom in) for detailed condition. Overall, this is one of its kind early tin/ antique primitive/ American folk art item with very rare pattern. Great display item for an antique primitive collector. It measures approximately 9” tall and 6” in diameter at the base. Feel free to check out my other antique and collectible listings. I gladly combine shipping whenever practical.
