Buttery soft French calf leather that smells amazing and will be easy to break in. Ribbed soles for better grip, swagger tabs (half sewn down so they won’t flap), elegant punched toe cap, diagonal/sloped angled heel line for better fit vs. the traditional square heel line, spur rests (slightly lowered), seven eyelet real wax laces (not elastic laces) to help adjust instep comfort, Spanish top: slightly higher on the outside than on the inside, and elastic gussets at inside top of calf for comfort and stretch. These are lined just around the top cuff which will provide more calf contact and cooler riding. Zippers up the back for easy on and off. Boot hook pulls inside as well. Name is handwritten inside as is standard with custom boots. New Vogels start at $2,000. From a smoke and pet-free home. I have gained weight since getting measured and they will sadly not fit. I’ve had several Vogels over the years, and breaking them in is the hardest part. They will last you a decade or more if well cared for! I rarely show anymore, so they have been sitting in my closet in a fleece lined boot bag with cedar boot trees. The best break in process uses boot conditioner cream, slathering it on both the inside and outside of the ankle, rubbing it in, then wearing them around the house. This will make the ankle start to relax and drop a little and break in to fit your body. These boots will fit a size 8.5-9 regular width foot, slim-medium calf, rider height approximately 5'5”- 5'8" but really depends on how long your legs are and what kind of socks you like to wear when riding. Maybe fine for a 8 if you wear thicker socks. Please pay close attention to the measurements provided to see if these will fit you. If you need additional measurements please ask! I’m a little over 5’6” and when I was measured weighed around 120 lbs. My calf is 14” around at its widest point and my lower leg measures about 17.5” standing barefoot on the floor measured from the floor up to the bend in my knee. Foot length along the bottom 9.25” and 3.75” wide. 9.5” around narrowest part of ankle, and 13.5” around just under the knee. Approximate boot measurements are as follows: 1. Outsole (edge of heel to end of toe) is a touch over 10.5" 2. Insole of footbed (really hard to measure) is approx. 10" 3. Sole measure outside across the bottom at the widest part is 3.75” 4. Heel height is 1" 5. Boot height measured from the floor (includes heel) up the back to top of zipper is 21” 6. Boot height measured from the floor (includes heel) up the inside of boot is 20" 7. Boot height measured from the floor (includes heel) up the outside swagger tab side of boot is 22" 8. Circumference measured around the outside of boot at top opening is a touch under 15" 9. Circumference measured around the outside of boot at widest point of calf is a touch over 15" 10. Circumference measured around the outside of boot at ankle (top of laces) is 12”
