They found the side click just perfect, bu these pencils were much more expensive than other mechanical pencils.My entire family LOVED this pencil so much, so I always kept them in stock. They never seemed to break or wear out...but friends would "borrow" them, so I constantly needed to replace them. I just discovered these NEW packages in a closet. These pencils were Made in Japan. I found a few listings with versions made in other countries.
