The mug does have one imperfection on the inside near the top rim. The black glaze did not cover one small spot as shown in photo 8 but this does not affect the use of the mug. The mug is bright and colorful. This coffee mug is perfect for a 40th birthday gift. The mug is about 4 1/2 inches tall and about 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the top rim.
