THE INGREDIENTSDuring the handmade soap making process, oils and fats are combined with an alkali to produce soap and glycerin. Modern soap is still made by this basic process, but handmade true soap offers many unique benefits for the skin. Handmade true soap is made using a batch process by individual soap makers, most of whom choose the highest quality pure skin-loving oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, hemp oil. They also use rich butters like cocoa butter, shea butter and mango butter. HAND CRAFTING HAND-PICKED ALL-NATURAL EXOTIC INGREDIENTSEach soap is handmade using the cold process method in small, controlled batches. It is then mixed with a delicate blend of fresh picked harvested herbs, legumes, fruits and grains, along with the purest botanical essential oils and naturally occurring charcoal made from coconut shells - all indigenous to Asia. This process creates a unique blend of natural colorant and aromatic soaps. UNNA & CO. soaps are handmade and set with wooden teak molds. TIME and GENERATIONS OF THAI ARTISAN TRADITIONAfter the soap has cured for 5-6 weeks in warm tropical temperature, it is hand-cut and contoured into the shape of a stone.It takes 10 to 15 minutes to mold one soap by hand. One family member can hand-mold a maximum of six soaps per hour, resulting in less than 50 soaps per an eight-hour shift.
