NEW Mopar 1968-74 Dash Vin Tag Dry Transfer

Description: New reproduction dash vin tag dry transfer for a 1968-74 Mopar. This appears darker in the image. It is a actually a lighter grey color like original. Please note if you just painted your vin tag it is best to let it sit to make sure the paint is fully cured before attempting to use the vin transfer. Sometimes these come to me without the instructions We try to print them out, but if we are busy may forget so here they are for you to see incase you get one without the instruction sheet: These dry transfers are comprised of a latex ink material. They will dry out if exposed to the atmosphere or left in direct sunlight over an extended period of time. (Shelf life is about two years!) Make sure the application surface is free of oil and dirt. WARM the transfer with a heat gun or hair dryer for about 5 seconds. Position the transfer in the desired position and use a burnishing tool to rub the image. (A popsicle stick with curved edges works well.) Start pulling the backer off (from either side) but not all at once. There is a slight tackiness to the release backer so remaining in the same spot is easy. You will see the image remain on the surface as the top overlay material is pulled away. Should a fleck or part of the transfer not completely adhere, place it back down on the surface and re-rub that area. The transfer is ink bases and it will “Melt” Right in with the image. The entire process should take 15-20 seconds. The image will be dry to the touch immediately. It will take 24 hours for the adhesives to completely evaporate and “gas off”.
