The XLUUV, or “Orca” is an autonomous submarine designed by Boeing for the United States Navy (USN) and is the largest uncrewed undersea vehicle with a 6,500nm range, enabling months-long missions with limited human intervention. The vehicle is capable of open ocean transit, bottom following, and long-duration moored operations on the seabed. The Orca features a modular 10 meter long middle insert payload bay that affords mission flexibility and puts the Orca length at 85 feet in that configuration. The USN has ordered from Boeing an additional 5 platforms for 2025. The item includes the XLUUV hull configured with the middle bay, mission mast (extended), x-fins, propeller shroud and a bonus Remus 600 UUV.
