I wear, and have for decades, fitted size 7 1/2, which is what this hat is suppose to be. I have an eBay store, and sell hundreds of hats every year, and noticed that this hat just 'looked' small to me. This is a 'Low Profile' hat, but that does not interfere with fitted sizing, or at least, should not. I tried the hat on, and sure enough, it rests on the top of my head, only going down a bit when forced. It does NOT fit. I would put this hat at a fitted size 7 1/4 'TRUE' size, even bypassing the 7 3/8 category, by estimation. So I put my hypothesis to the test. In my inventory, I located an active listing for a New Era 59FIFTY fitted size 7 1/4 hat, and tried it on. That is the Cleveland Indians hat shown in the pictures. This Indians hat fit me exactly the same as the falsely labeled Smokies hat. You can feel confident in purchasing this hat as a FITTED SIZE 7 1/4. Case Closed. 😉 👍 - 59FIFTY are the official on field fitted hats. There's a Low Profile version with a more curved brim and smaller crown. -9FIFTY are the snapbacks. They're practically the same as 59FIFTY, but they have the snapback instead of an actual size. - Low-profile hats have a shorter crown, making them feel less bulky and fit closer to the head, unlike other types of hats. Most caps have a taller crown, providing more vertical space between the brim and the top of the hats. Another major difference is the fabrics used. Unfortunately I literally have to say this,....The Cleveland Indians hat is not for sale in this listing. Only the Smokies hat is for sale in this listing.
