Description: Here's a small charming Nelson McCoy Pottery planter formed and embossed as a white baby shoe with long laces. It would make a great baby shower gift and as nursery decor. The ceramic planter has a glossy glaze finish and measures 5.5 inches in length, 2 inches in width, and 8.5 ounces in weight. This collectible planter works for a plant or to hold baby items such as cotton balls or swabs. It is an original piece from the 1940s based on the backstamp. The stylized NM overlapping logo is barely visible incised above the heel. This backstamp was in use in the early 40s prior to the pottery company's switch to a raised embossed McCoy mark. Condition is good with no chips or cracks. There is crazing and the interior has discoloration spots. Also there are typical glaze pops and crumbs, see the last two photos. Thanks for looking.
