Description: Not sure of which Indian tribe this is from, a museum curator gave some thoughts of what he thinks this is see in ad. I have a Native American Indian Pow Wow set My girlfriend of 75 yrs said she’s had it over 25 yrs she picked it up at an estate sale . It is buck skin there is a dress to wear under it . There is even hair pieces , a bag , a animal skin of some sort with abalone, a necklace. Make offer might be my loss your gain . Buying as is .its really a lot of work on the beading and hand stitched clothes and shoes . From : museum info : The dress is 35 plus years old and from one of the tribes of the northern plans. It may be Blackfoot ,Flathead or Crow . They all did this kind of work. The dress is made from brain tan deer hide and they smoked it to give it the dark brown color. I looks to be a set that a Woman would dance with at a Pow wow. A famous author and Tribal Historian saw my post on FB and replied back, Nice Regalia, made by the Crow or one of the plateau tribes or Great Basin. Perhaps Paiute , Nevada . Made to be used for a Pow Wow, high quality work could sell up to 6000 depending where it’s marketed . He is the author of many Indian Books look up Richard Green a few of his books are Voices of Thunder, The journal of Chickasaw History and Plains Indian Bead Work . Make an offer and it’s yours .I put in here what the Museum guy thought he could tell by the photos I sent him ,at the time I asked him it was covid time and things were shutting down. He is a well known Indian author and was nice to tell me about it. The beaded stuff is in great shape and will done. I am selling is and this has never been appraised nor do I have any paper work on it. My friend collected Indian stuff over the years and she said she paid a lot for this and was told at the time it was authentic. I can't confirm its authenticity. Your buying as it. No returns and no exchanges or refunds. You get everything in the ad. This was about 8 yrs I talked to the museum person, at the time the market was not even doing auctions. He said, you could sell the beaded items for a lot of money, but I wanted them to be sold together.
