Description: Rockwell Kent was an American artist and adventurer whose work encompassed a variety of mediums, among them Memoirs of his travels to various parts of the world. This work tells “the story of an actual voyage to Greenland in a small boat; of shipwreck there and of what, if anything, happened afterwords”. Profusely illustrated with over 150 engravings taken from Kent’s woodcuts of the journey, several full-page. Inscribed on front free endpaper, “To my brother Dick/affectionately/Rockwell.” Also included is a small pamplhlet, a brief biographical sketch written by Kent describing his early life. It is a little larger than the book so the edges are frayed and have several small tears along the top edge. It is also browning.
