Captioned in lower margin. Myrna Loy (1905-1993) was a dancer who entered films in the silent era (1925). In a film career that continued up until 1980 (Just Tell Me What You Want being her final feature film), she frequently played strong, independent women. She co-starred with William Powell as husband and wife detectives in the six movies of The Thin Man series (1934-1947). Working through World War II with the Red Cross, she returned after the war in some of her strongest roles: The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948), and Cheaper by the Dozen (1950).
