There is a white fleck underneath the glass that occurred when the piece was made. See last photo. Murano glass is hand made and may have slight imperfections. Glass pieces may have wear to base due to age and weight. Any damage will be noted. The Dolphin is 8 3/4" tall and weighs 3 lbs 4 ozs. Item will be well packed and boxed to ensure safe arrival.
