This is because FedEx will automatically deny all claims without signature. If a product is not received, FedEx advises the customer to file a police report for theft and claim it on homeowner’s insurance. We also offer shipping insurance through FedEx for an additional fee. If a product is lost in transit, FedEx will pay the entire insured value, but if additional insurance is not on the package, they will only cover the minimum $100 insurance plus the original shipping charge. Example of no coverage: If insurance is on a package, but the package is delivered without a signature and the customer claims they did not receive it, FedEx will not pay the claim. If the customer cannot accommodate the delivery, then they will be responsible for the original and return shipping fees.When shipping to Canada or other countries, our website will only charge shipping.
