Description: This auction is for a very late model General Dynamics / Motorola R2670B which has just been recently calibrated,aligned and tested.Loaded with options including P25, P25 Trunking and Encryption capabilities This is a later model and includes the later version FDMA option as well as having the wide spaced duplex option which provides fully independent Generate and Receive useful for cross band links and repeaters. Also includes the FULL Auto Test Motorola Software Suite ( Astro Saber, Astro Spectra, XTS3000, Astro Spectra Plus , XTS5000 and XTL mobiles ) Unit covers up to 1Ghz for FM , AM analog modulation as well as DES DES-XL DES-OFB and AESAlso has P25 and VSLEP modulation. Provides P25 Trunking Simulation and can also support aligning DMR radios. High power accurate measurements ( I always recommend and external attenuator for extended higher power meausrements ) using a tuned wattmeter ( unit has to be on the TX frequency ) Spectrum Analyzer with Tracking GEN Full signaling capabilities standard as well and comes with a high stability OCXO which was standard on the R2670. Firmware has been updated to the latest on the main and option slice as well as the processor board battery being replaced. The tracking GEN function has been tested and has less than 2db ripple @5Mhz ( most units out there will have a massive 10 or 20 db ripple due to not being properly aligned ) Complete with all screws , feet and handle. There are a number of versions and configurations of the R2670 . Most offered for sale are on older firmware with limited capabilities installed like only analog trunking or only early encryption protocols. Most have not been fully tested , aligned and calibrated and may have serious issues even though they appear to power up correctly. The power on selftest and calibration routines are very linted in what they actually test and the calibration routine will not report errors even on severely broken units. All of them without exception are not fullyaligned and the tracking gen output at 5Mhz and above will show severe ripple. Repairs on these units can be very expensive so be wary of units listed as only power on tests or coming from a working environment. Most of the sellers have little idea of the capabilities much less how to test,verify, align and calibrate. Some are offering units for sale that list options not physically possible to install together.
