Mori Seiki MV-40B

Description: For sale is our CNC VMC. In good working condition and still under power & making parts. Reason for the sale is the price of SQFT for where we are renting had gone up to the point where it doesn't make sense to keep paying. Moving the shop into garage which means smaller equipment. About the Mill: This is a Mori Seiki MV-40B with a YASNAC i80M, the "B" just means extra travel, this is your basic 40 x 20 table. Machine has box ways which are in great shape. I've ran anything from Plastic to Inconel on here and had no vibration issues. Spindle is a CAT40 8,000 10HP spindle. This has the ceramic spindle tape which is free of cracks. Machine still holds +/-.001 on linear tolerances with ease, no noise from spindle bearings or abnormal noise coming from table movements. I've replaced the front door switch with a brand new unit, coolant finally caused enough cracks in the plastic housing to where the door key wouldn't stay in. The spindle lube tank was replaced with a newer / used unit. Motor died in the old one and was more expensive to re-wind the motor than buy a different tank. I replaced all the components of the FMRL unit. All brand new SMC components to match old factory components. Did that since replacement parts to match existing unit was getting hard to come by. DC power supply was recently replaced. Was actually able to find a brand new unit to match the existing unit. The machine has the 2MB extended memory board which is helpful when using 3D Dynamic tool paths. Optional Parameter for Helical Interpolation is also added for Threadmilling or helical boring. All the books are included, which is the Electrical Diagram Book / Operations Manual / Parts Book. I've taken very good care of this machine as it has taken care of me.
