Description: Hi, and, thank you for stopping by to look at this Stanley made Montgomery Ward's Number 1204 Smooth Bottom Bench Plane. It is the same thing as a Defiance plane. The plane has scratches, dings, discoloration, some japanning loss, light pitting on the sole/sides, and other metal parts. The handles look okay. The previous owner spray painted, the handles a little bit with a red paint. I did clean off some of it, and they look a lot better. The blade will need tuning up. The plane could use a little more cleaning. Please look over the photos carefully. I don't see any cracks or repairs on the plane body. All moving parts work. Lightly cleaned, and oiled.
