Description: Monitor Audio Silver 9i floor standing speakers in good cosmetic condition due to age, works great. Here is for sale is a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 9i speakers. I am the second owner and had this speakers for the past 10 years. I got them in exactly in the shape they are today and used them in my various secondary systems through the years with excellent results. They never disappointed me. Excellent sound,very musical and great imaging are the strong points of these speakers. They are true audiophile speakers even though it was their entry level speakers featuring tweeter,midbass and bass drivers. Back port loaded. The base has an opening on the back so you can sand/ led shot fill them for better stability. They are bi-wire and bi-amp capable and I am using them in bi-wire configuration.Cosmetically they are in pretty good condition with only few minor scratches/imperfections which you can only see at close up. They are made with mahogany veneer and it has some fading since the previous owner had them exposed to the direct Sun light but still very presentable. Previous owner had original badges removed from grills and attached them to the cabinets but lost one of the badges,I didn't removed remaining badge since it will leave discoloration mark,so one has a badge and one does not. Sound wise they are just excellent speakers for any kind of music. They are 8Ohm and 150W , and at 91dB sensitivity are easy to drive with any amp. So, once again- sold AS-IS only due to age and weight, but in a perfect working condition.
