Showme was a student-produced humor magazine from the 1920s to the 1960s that featured work by University of Missouri writers and illustrators. It was ranked as one of the top student publications in the country in the 1940s and 1950s. Profusely illustrated with art and photos, and, of course, lots of nostalgic ads. January 1950 - 44 pages. 8.5 X 11. Cover art by "Gabe." Back cover features an ad for Chesterfield cigarettes featuring Bing Crosby. This is dubbed the "Bitter Issue." Covers are very worn and completely loose from staples. Inner pages in very good shape, no marks, tears, or holes.
