Description: Miss Agnes Preston (Jessie Broughton) 2x 10" 78rpm Coliseum 511, 946 (100yrs +). Jessie Broughton (1885 - 1938) was an English contralto and actress. She used the name Miss Agnes Preston on many of her recordings. Coliseum records were produced between 1912 and 1927 ( serial numbers 100 - 2059) with these probably being produced in the early 1920s.Visually both records are in a good condition, for their age, (see photos) with scuffing and some scratches. We do not usually sell items of this quality, but the age and rarity may be of interest to a collector. We have played the records, description below.Coliseum 511 - Side 1 - Absent - Side 2 - The Rosary - on playing both sides - loud surface noise at start, some clicks throughout, clear vocal / diction;Coliseum 946 - Side 1 - Sometimes You’ll Remember - Side 2 - A Broken Doll - on playing both sides - strong vocal / clear diction, surface noise throughout, some clicks especially on Broken Doll side.
