Minolta X-700 35mm SLR Camera w/ 1.8 Lens

Description: Vintage used Minolta X-700 SLR 35mm camera. I added new batteries (357) and found the meter works, and the timer works, but the meter appears to be malfunctioning in that it in the "A" and "P" settings, it beeps and the red light flashes to indicate the shutter speed would be too slow - even with the film set to "1600" and when in "A" mode, even with the aperture set to 1.8. The meter does react to light at the most sensitive settings - but only when pointed at a very bright light - this camera will need work. When the camera is used in the manual mode, the shutter appears to be operating correctly, and I can hear the difference in shutter speeds.
