Miniature The L. Lau Express 3 Piece Metal Train Inside Wooden Display Case

Description: Miniature 3 Piece Cast Metal Train Inside A Wooden Display Case with a plaque that reads "The L. Lau Express" over it. The case is a solid wood material. The front of the case is a clear plastic material and the train can be viewed through it when closed. It closes at the top by a single hinge and is attached on the underside by two more hinges. One on each side. Inside the case is a small green felt strip that the train sits on. Above the train is a plaque that has the words The L. Lau Express etched in cursive writing. The train is in three separate parts. They are not welded together The engine, a longer open car and a smaller car. The pieces do not seem to fit properly together. The smaller car leans to one side. The engine car does not have a connecting hitch (doesn't appear to have ever had one) The engine is App. 1 1/2" x 1/4", the longer car is App. 1 1/2" x 1/4" and the smaller car is App.1" x 1/4". The case and train are not branded. This could have been homemade or purchased. The hinges and plaque are a gold tone metal. The metal is scratched and tarnished. The clear plastic window has scratching. The wood is solid. It could use a varnish. We try very hard to protect your purchase- books and other paper items get sent in plastic sleeves or bubble wrap surrounded by cardboard, other breakable items get packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or other protection to help avoid postal damage.
