He is facing left, wearing a black jacket with a white stock and cravat tied under his chin. He has natural brown coiffed hair and large sideburns. He is set against a pink and blue sky background.It is set within its original high-quality gold frame and the reverse has a central panel of white opaline glass set with a decorative wheatsheaf with seed pearls. There are gold initials GB at the bottom which are loose. This is surrounded by a bevelled piece of blue glass which is set in front of silver foil which gives a radial effect when tilted to the light. 2 1/5" x 2 3/10"
