Mimma Indelli Original Oil Titled Venice Canal Signed / Dated

Description: Up for your consideration, is this vintage original oil painting on masonite by the listed Italian artist, Mimma Indelli. The painting which measures 8 3/4” x 6 3/8” is in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The frame also is in good condition with some wear consistent with age in use. I’d like to say the painting is in good, original, vintage, used condition with traces of history and well proportion character. Wear is consistent with age in use. The painting framed measures.12 3/4” x 10 3/8”! What is so interesting about this painting is that Mimma Indelli ( 1909- 2002 ), not only signed the piece! Not many if at all, her paintings have been dated! Why is this so important! It’s because in 1973, The First Special Law Interventions to safeguard Venice was enacted, identifying the protection of the lagoon as an objective of national interest. It was and is currently called. MOSE! Mimma was born in Italy in 1909 and died in 2002. According to Artprice.com, her works have gone up for sale at public auctions 56 times, mostly in the painting category. The oldest auction recorded Artprice.com ( Les Ages de la Vie ) was in 1994 and the most recent painting ( Vers le bourg ) was in 2024. I am not a collector, but I sell estate sale items.
