Description: Milwaukee Road (MILW) F-M H-12-44 Nos. 706 and 709 on Beer Line, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 20 degree-below weather. From the Roger Puta Collection. The FM H-12-44 was a switcher locomotive produced by Fairbanks-Morse from May 1950 until March 1961. The units had a 1,200-horsepower, six-cylinder opposed piston engine prime mover, and were configured in a B-B wheel arrangement mounted atop a pair of two-axle AAR Type-A switcher trucks, with all axles powered and geared for a top speed of 60 miles per hour. This 4 x 6 color photo is a brand-new and printed on glossy photo paper, and sent from a smoke-free environment. Be sure to see my other listings as many railroad photos are available. Thank you!
