Description: Milford Zornes (1908-2008) Early Original California Watercolor Painting -1939. A few years back when I acquired this piece I brought it to a gallery to have some conservation work done to it. The painting itself was never altered or touched up. However, I did have acid free matting placed between the original matting and the Artwork, and also acid free matting on the back. When we removed it from the original frame, we found an original gallery label from 1939 and the title of the piece. I decided to keep the original glass covering the artwork because you can see the small imperfections in it, and it has a lovely unique wave to it. On the back of the piece their are some pictures that were taken of the original label that is underneath the back paper. The artwork was well taken care of over the years and the colors are still bold and bright. It appears to be in the original frame but I can’t be certain? It measures approximately 33 x 27” framed, and the viewable image size is approximately 20 x 14”.
