Description: Middletown, CONNECTICUT - Wesleyan University - Delta Kappa Epsilon - 1907: Wesleyan University is a private liberal arts university in Middletown, Connecticut, Middlesex County, United States. It was founded in 1831 as a men's college under the Methodist Episcopal Church and with the support of prominent residents of Middletown. It is currently a secular institution. The college accepted female applicants from 1872 to 1909, but did not become fully co-educational until 1970. Before full co-education, Wesleyan alumni and other supporters of women's education established Connecticut College in 1912. Wesleyan, along with Amherst and Williams colleges, is part of "The Little Three". Its teams compete athletically as a member of the NESCAC in NCAA Division III. Delta Kappa Epsilon is a private, members-only social fraternity founded at Yale University in 1844 by and for the school’s social elite. Today, ∆KE continues to cater only to the best, and remains just as exclusive and successful as ever. As a mission, our fraternity cultivates in its members the three qualities of a true ∆KE: the gentleman, the scholar, and the jolly good fellow. The Brothers of ∆KE take this objective with the utmost seriousness. This Divided Back Era postcard, mailed in 1907, is in good condition. The Chapin News Company. Harford, Conn. Germany.
