Mid century reclining lounge chair chaise, rattan bamboo, manner of Paul Frankl

Description: Vintage reclining bamboo lounger with retractable ottoman. Clever design and nicely made, probably dates to the 1960's. No markings or stickers certainly is reminiscent of some Paul Frankl pieces. Rare find that remains in good original condition with expected signs of age and minor surface imperfections. Functional as found, clean appearance for its age. I see no repairs, no cracks, no structural flaws in the frame, moving parts generally move as they should. Finish has expected surface wear, rubs, scratches etc. No holes or breaks in the bamboo. The woven seat, back and ottoman are free of any total breaks or loss, however there is consistent signs of age, oxidation, minor sagging and surface wear. Still holding tight, at 160 pounds I can sit in it. Frame is fairly tight and straight, minor play or wobble in a few spots, the seat back can be a bit stubborn when being adjusted but it does rotate and hold in place-good joints just a bit stiff. The banding around the top edge is starting to pull loose-you will notice some trim nails showing. As shown in close ups, some of the lashing is pulling away, or starting to unravel, but only in a few contained spots. This chair is not in perfect condition, but it looks great, is functional. Did no polishing, no adjustments, no glueing or repairing the lashing. True estate find. Please study photos, read condition report and send any questions you might have. Approximate measurements: 32.5" tall in upright position. 23.5" wide at arms. 19.75" high at arms. 40" deep in upright position. 66" deep reclined with ottoman extended. 11.5-12" seat height. 10.5" ottoman height. Very good pre-owned condition. Top tilts and closes nicely, in square and good hinges. Solid, tight frame with no wobble or play, legs are sturdy. The wood finish is generally quite nice, even and clean appearance overall. Mild and expected bumps, bruises, small scratches or wear, minor corner and edge wear. No chips, no cracks, no splits, no loss, no peeling or flaking, no water damage, no deep scratches, no repairs. Some foot scuffs and finish wear around the bottom of legs.
