Description: Mid-Century Modern POOLE POTTERY Vibrant Delphis Bowl With Incised Textured Rim Click images to enlarge Description MID-CENTURY MODERN BOWL Striking old decorative glazed free-hand pottery bowl measuring about 2-1/2" deep and 8" wide. Featuring a flat foot, canted shape with incised vertical line pattern around the bowl exterior, interior is decorated with a vibrant hand painted stylized floral design in blues on a red ground - believe this was by artist Clarice Heath (1929-1940), based on the hand lettered "X" and bar mark. Stamped POOLE ENGLAND 88 with the Dolphin factory mark, condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage - as shown, there is a tiny production flaw (a dot of extra clay) on the interior side underneath the glaze.
