Description: Michel Petrucciani TrioLive at The Village VanguardCD (2002) [Recorded Live in 1984] Michel Petrucciani was a French jazz pianist. From birth he had osteogenesis imperfecta, a genetic disease that causes brittle bones and, in his case, short stature. He became one of the most accomplished jazz pianists of his generation despite his health condition. Petrucciani gave his first professional concert at the age of 13. At this point of his life, he was still quite fragile and had to be carried to and from the piano. His hands were average in length, but his size meant that he required aids to reach the piano's pedals. This album was recorded in concert at the Village Vanguard in New York City on 16 March 1984. Petrucciani played with bassist Palle Danielsson and drummer Eliot Zigmund. The material is a mix of standards and previously performed Petrucciani compositions. Jewel Case is clean and undamaged. Cover artwork / inlay card has no rips or creases. Disc itself is very clean, with no serious marks or scratches. See photos - all photos show actual item.
