Description: Meteorite Northwest Africa (NWA) 6963 is a gabbroic rockclassified as a basaltic shergottite, discovered in Oued Toublit, Morocco in September, 2011. NWA 6963 contains clinopyroxene andmaskelynite grains up to 5 mm in length, with minor ferroan olivine, spinel,ilmenite, merrillite, apatite, Fe-sulfides and high-Si glass. NWA 6963 alsocontains areas of quartz and alkali-feldspar intergrowths up to ~1 mm in size This specimen is 0.41 g, part slice, some crust!
