Description: What you are seeing here is a raw silk medieval peasant gown that has been dyed royal blue. The variations you see in the dye are because of the raw silk and they present a beautiful cloud-like effect. Raw silk differs from fully processed silk. It has a rough feeling to the touch like linen however it is more breathable than fully processed silk. This would be a fantastic dress for a Renaissance festival or Halloween party. If you do not like the color, the dress can be dyed again a darker color, but do not bleach! Raw silk will look stained if it is bleached. I recommend hand washing this in cold water, or machine washing in cold water by itself as the dye can bleed, and hanging it to dry (do not put it in the dryer unless you want it to significantly shrink!).
