Description: I have here for sale a book entitled THE MEDIEVAL CITY STATE AN ESSAY ON TYRANNY AND FEDERATION IN THE LATER MIDDLE AGES by M.V. CLARKE. This first edition was published in 1926 by METHUEN & CO, London. Provenance, bookplate : The Bridge Bequest. Bound in brown linen boards. Blind embossed title lettering on the front board. Gilt title lettering on the spine. Only light shelf wear is evident. White library number on the spine. Library bookplate on the inside of the front board, the usual library stamps should be expected. Plate (?) removed from the ffep, plus biro number and crayoned initials. This book is in good + condition, pages are clean and bright and it is tightly bound with no loose or missing pages; 220pp plus 8pp publishers catalogue. 20cm x 14cm. Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped. To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account.
