Description: MARX CAPE CANAVERAL MISSILE BASE SETSERIES 1000 NO 4526 1st version 1958 set:Marx first introduced the Cape Canaveral series of playsets in 1958.The first version of these sets included the tin lithographed Cape Canaveral "T" Building.This building has two floors, with a plastic Stanchion holding up the2nd floor or wing. It also came with a plastic Tower and Antenna. The interior of this 1st version building has the same interior details that were used in the Tom Corbett and Rex Mars playsets buildings. This is the larger Series 1000 NO 4526 set vs the smaller Series 500 NO 4525.The 4525 had lesser pieces and did NOT have the Flying Saucer.On this box you can see the Flying Saucer is identified on the box lid contents,it also depicted on the box lid, and in the instructions.The NO 4525 box does not depict the Flying Saucer on the box. This set originally came with 1 Flying Saucer Launcher and 4 Tin Lithographed fence sections. I have included 2 Flying Saucer Launchers and NINE sections of tin lithographed fence. Also included are the Guided Missile Launcher, Three Stage RocketLauncer, Large Rocket Launcher, Small Rocket Launcher,21 original figures in cream and steel blue and many multiple stage rockets and other accessories, anda photocopy of the Instructions.
