The original LP of this work, “Ridin’ High,” was Martha & The Vandellas’ fifth overall (excluding live albums and best albums), and was released at the end of April 1968. It is clear at first listen that this is a fulfilling work with a series of excellent recordings, as evidenced by the fact that it reached a peak of 13th place on the R&B album chart and that a total of eight songs (including B-sides) were released as singles. In particular, the five songs provided by the two creators at the core of this work, Sylvia Moy and Richard Morris, are all of high quality, including the refreshing and lovely masterpiece “Honey Chile,” which reached 5th place on the R&B chart and 11th place on the pop chart.That's because Moi was a master who co-wrote Stevie Wonder's classic 60s hits such as "Uptight (Everything's Alright)", "My Cherie Amour" and "I Was Made To Love Her", as well as the Isley Brothers' big hit "This Old Heart Of Mine (Is Weak For You)" during their Motown days.
