A first edition 1st issue copy with the 4 key first printing points mentioned by Kevin Macdonnell in First Collectors Magazine. Printing history of this book can be quite complicated ,for even the experienced collector. Four textual errors separate a first and 2nd printing. Our copy has all four first printing points, Table cloth visible on Frontispiece, with the was on pg 57 , huck decided in index of table of contents for chapter six, and illustration him and another man listed on pg 88 in the illustration index. Moreover, Bal mentions several other points which been deemed irrelevant in determining different between printings, but in case anyone cares B in body C in Col are broken, , 5 in pg 155 off balance. With pg 283 only applying deluxe leather bound copies. Book is in very good condition overall . Hinges starting but binding tight. General shelf wear. Pages clean. Light aging. Possible replacement end papers. If done it was 70 years ago as paper old
