Description: This is an etching done by Margaret Ann Gaug (1909-1983) who was active in the Chicago area. Her work featured child characters representing scenes from Operas. This is the ultimate scene from Madame Butterfly where the heroine kills herself instead of giving up her daughter. Kinda morbid to see it done with children but that was Gaug's style. Very nicely framed professionally. Payment is expected within two days of purchase. Recycled packaging material may be used. I am happy to combine items to save on shipping.
