Large folding map 78x 37cm French edition Very good condition. Folds as issued. This Landmark map was produced by James Cook during his famous Voyage around the world in the Endeavour. He named Botany bay, later to become Sydney, and charted the entire East Coast of Australia. Famously he came aground in the Great Barrier Reef but was able to free the ship and, after repairs, return the England where this chart was produced.
