Description: Man on the Moon Narrated by Walter Cronkite AND Sounds of the Space Age Natl Geographic 33 1/2 RPM Records - Great for Homeschool! Original Owner, from a Non-Smoking home. Two great records that record the beginning history of our space exploration! Man on the Moon is narrated by Walter Cronkite and includes actual recordings of President John F. Kennedy, Neil Armstrong, as well as Buzz Aldren, and includes actual transmissions from the moon. Sounds of the Space Age is narrated by astronaut Col. Frank Borman, and is from the December 1969 special edition of National Geographic. It covers the space race from Sputnik to the landing of the first man on the moon, with actual recordings from the various missions, and from President Nixon. Both records would be ideal for any history lover! Also perfect for homeschoolers who are studying the history of space exploration, while hearing the actual voices of some of our former Presidents and astronauts. Records were recently played and the recordings remain great! Record from National Geographic is odd shaped due to the fact that it was cut out of the National Geographic magazine years ago. Shape does not affect the playing or the quality of the record in any way. Both records are approximately 7" in diameter but play at 33 1/2 RPM speed, each double-sided play.
