This is a unique set from antique shop in Malaysia. Its a promotional set from Chinese New Year in Malaysia from 1996 (year of the Rat). In excellent condition, details as follows:- 12pcs of Chinese Zodiac coasters and an exclusive Guinness Stout ashtray:- a) 12pcs of double sided Chinese Zodiac coasters Each coaster has the writing in English on one side and Chinese on reverse, layout/design: left corner Chinese writing for zodiac sign, right description of the Chinese sign, below – name of sign and year applicable, bottom =- Guinness Stout Malaysia Bulldog logo. Again, wring is in English one side and Chinese on the other b) Limited edition glass ashtray – 1” x 4” diameter – 3 slots, design on base is the Bulldog face and in English “Guinness Stout” and also same in Chinese c) Presentation box – shows some wear, also rough are on front top corner due to price tag removed. Box is red with gold/black writing, front says “Happy New Year” or “Gong Xi Fai Cai” (Chinese), base shows the English side of the Rat coaster. Sides have the Guinness Stout logo in English and Chinese, on other in English and Chinese says “ Gong Xi Fa Cai Offer” (picture shows all sides of box) The 12 signs of Chinese Zodiac are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
