Description: This is a very nice 22"x28" reproduction of an original 1955 "LUCKY 7 BLUES SHOW" concert poster. This colorful poster shows illustrations of dice and horseshoes; and features images and song titles for all seven acts including Jack Dupree and Mr. Bear/"Walking the Blues", Earl King/"Don't Take It So Hard"; Little Willie John/"All Around the World", Little George Smith/"Telephone Blues",Marie Knight/ "You'd Better Watch Yourself", Otis Williams and His Charms/"Gum Drop", Hal Singer and His Orchestra/"Corn Bread." Jack Dupree was an American Blues pianist and singer who's nickname; "Champion Jack" originated from his time as a professional boxer in the 1930's. By the 1940's he was a fully fledged recording artist. In the 1950's he moved to Europe and played at various British Blues clubs during the 50's and 60's. He played with Eric Clapton and John Mayall. Since his death, there has been a revival for Dupree's music; particularly on the British vintage dance scene. This is a great colorful poster and looks really nice framed up, plus it has that great old vintage look. Please note that the ebay sample image is reduced in resolution and does not represent the quality of the final poster.
